CAT RUN
We feel that our cat run gives our cats the freedom of the 'outside world', without the danger. We have a cat flap in the back door, so they come in and out as they please.
We have built the run so that it wraps around the back of the house, meaning that we can have the back door and windows open without worrying whether one of the cats gets out.
The cats are happy being able to see us when we are in the garden as well as being able to come in and out of the house as and when they feel like it.
We have a ramp for the cats to climb up to the high shelf and places for them to hide, as well as areas of shade. The cats seem to like it and we have peace of mind.
We have put some other shelves up for them to jump around on. It's definitely one of those 'work in progress' things and will be added to over the years.
It may be just a bench to you, it is my sanctuary from the children!!! Just lock myself in the cat run and I am happy ;-) (Only joking......maybe!!!)
