This is Dagny (Day-nee), our new girl from Tracy and Colin. We weren't going to bring another breeding girl in quite so soon, we were actually going to wait until Astryd has her first litter and then keep a daughter from her. All the best laid plans...............
Dagny was the 1st born in a litter of two but very sadly her sister died at two days old as she had an inoperable cleft palate. Within days of her being born, it was decided between Tracy and Colin and ourselves, that Dagny would join us at Skogenengel. She has Norsvana's breeding cats throughout her pedigree, making her very special to them and she is of course, very special to us already. By coming to us and joining Otter and Astryd, we are 'keeping her in the family' ;-)
We visited Dagny for the first time, when she was just 6 Days old and what a lovely, chunky little girl she is!! Having Mum to herself has certainly not done her any harm.
We have future breeding plans for Dagny, so watch this space. For now though, we are just going to enjoy her and watch her grow into a beautiful cat. As with Astryd, Dagny is to be our pet first and foremost and to be able to breed her when the time is right, is just an added extra.
Dagny joined us on August 23rd and settled in as if she had been here forever. She is not at all bothered about the other cats, she just runs about like a mini tornado.
As you can see from Dagny's pedigree name, Tracy and Colin have added our own prefix alongside theirs. This is a lovely gesture and really means a lot to us. Thank you, see you soon. X X X
